Been trying this week to get my head round Twitter and how it can be useful to school and my own professional life.   It all seems to be a bit random at the moment I think that Twittergroups might be the answer as it seems to let you organise things a bit more simply, but need to investigate it a little more fully.

Thanks for following me on twitter – I am following you now. Here’s the thing with twitter – the more you use it and the more people you follow – the better it gets!

Mmm, yes I’m with you on this one! I think the beauty of Twitter for me right now is the number of tips and links you get passed on to follow up. This is presuming you have mountains of time to keep up and to investigate new bits and pieces. I think choosing who you follow carefully is a pretty good key too!

I think the point about really selecting the network carefully is a good one. I don’t really want to use this as a social tool rather as Matt suggests a porfessional one. Have to say that after taking the plunge and getting involved it has got much more constructive.

I have enjoyed using twitter for a number of months now and I have made wonderful connections. I am like you trying to work out how,or if it should be used with my classes. So, if you work something out let me know. I am murcha on twitter.
