All About Mr Kp!

My name is Steve Kirkpatrick.

Currently I’m a Year Six teacher (10/11 year olds) in Manchester UK.   I’m hoping that this blog will be a way for me to sift through alot of what’s out there and find practical lessons that use the technology available.

It’s going to either be great or a total waste of time - fingers crossed!

Hi from Manchester too!

Thanks for following me on Twitter. My resources for Primary MFL may be of interest to you. They can be accessed on my blog, My Languages via the delicious tags on the right-hand side (just click on Primary for an exhaustive list of links)

I hope it is of use.

Thanks Isabelle at my new school I’ll have to be more involved in PfL so the link will no doubt be very useful.

Thanks for your ideas Steve. I am really interested in using podcasts with high school students so I’ve been exploring various links through different blogs and that’s how I stumbled across yours. Now, thanks to your blog, I’ve discovered animoto. We’re just about to return to school after our winter break down under. Thanks for the inspiration.

Great - loads there for me to start thinking about! Hopefully I should be able to use some of the tools in my teaching practice which is coming up scarily fast… Big Sister is watching you!

Hi Steve, I arrived here from your kp2wiki for collaboration on science experiments. I am a year 7 science and maths teacher from Victoria, Australia and would be very interested in working with your class if possible. I posted a “paper airoplanes and scientific method” practical experiment on the wiki, but there are plenty of other ideas we could collaborate on.
My blog is at Technoscience (http://brittgow.globalteacher.org.au) and i contribute to the class blog Techno7’s (http://techno7.globalstudent.org.au)

Hi Steve,
Thanks for visiting my blog - I have set up an ‘on-line science fair’ wiki for middle years students at:
http://onlinesciencefair.wikispaces.com
You may like to join with your students and celebrate some of the excellent work with technology in the science class!
